A Coaching Tool that Supports Company Growth

We learned about Prodoscore through word of mouth more or less. Our process was very manual and someone referred us to Prodoscore thinking the solution could help us automate and streamline some processes.

We weren’t necessarily in the market for an employee productivity monitoring solution but it was on our radar.

Once we learned about how Prodoscore works it became clear that it could help us scale the business and achieve the growth we were hoping for. In a remote environment, we especially needed to identify coaching opportunities; we wanted to know how employees were engaged each day – were they putting in a full day, for instance, or taking advantage of being at home? We wanted to be able to step in and help when someone was struggling or not performing to the best of their abilities.

Implementing the Solution

There were some hiccups during the onboarding process based on our uniqueness – all of our reps are on their client’s email domain – but, the implementation team was very helpful and hands on. We were very appreciative of that. They helped us identify areas to coach towards and what we needed to pay attention to from a management standpoint.

Now, Prodoscore is the first thing management checks every morning to see how their respective team is doing. We put it into practice right away.

There are certain things we pay close attention to like phone calls just because of the nature of our business. But, being able to identify gap time has also been really valuable to us.

When we rolled it out, our employees were aware. We never wanted anyone left in the dark. By now, teams have bought into it. Everyone looks at their score and tries to increase it. We’ve seen some gamification but that was more common early on when employees wanted to justify remote work.

One of the things that was most surprising to me upon implementing Prodoscore was how competitive our managers got about their Prodoscore. They bought into it quickly and wanted to “beat” their colleagues.

Utilization and Results

What I like best about Prodoscore is the clarity it provides into the day-to-day. We’ve firmly taken the stance that this is not a Big Brother tool – I’m not looking at your day to spy on you, I’m identifying coaching opportunities. We may find, for example, that someone needs to make more calls to kick off the day or towards the end of the day based on Prodoscore data. Understanding in a remote setting how our folks are managing their days and being able to coach to that is really helpful.

When I’m coaching I can point out that an employee’s Prodoscore was great one week along with their performance but this week their Prodoscore is low and their performance is down. So, we can talk through what that means and find ways to get both the productivity and performance back up to where they should be. There tends to be a correlation between Prodoscore and success.

As a company we’ve seen growth since implementing Prodoscore. Our headcount has gone up and I’m happy to give Prodoscore some credit for that!

We’ve also seen improvements with regards to retention. When someone’s down and out and not performing, for example, it opens the door for a conversation.

It’s hard to determine with certainty whether productivity has gone up since going remote and now hybrid but I would lean more towards yes. We tracked productivity much closer when we worked remotely and saw some peaks and valleys but ultimately I think we have seen improvements and having a tool like Prodoscore helped us verify that.

Final Thoughts

Overall Prodoscore has been great to work with and customer support is very responsive.

The solution provides added visibility, especially in a remote world. In my opinion you have to embrace it as a coaching tool. There’s always going to be a Big Brother stigma but leveraged the right way there’s very little to no pushback and you’ll have much more clarity in reporting and areas of improvement for coaching.
