How Google Workspace Activity Is Tracked
Prodoscore connects to Google Workspace to collect activity from Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Google Drive, and Google Chat. Understanding how each integration works helps employees and managers interpret score data accurately.
Calendar & Google Meet
If a calendar event includes a Google Meet link, the meeting time (not the calendar event time) is recorded. This means only time actually spent in the meeting counts — not the duration of the calendar block.
Flagging Conditions (events that do NOT contribute to the score):
- Calendar event lasts more than 3 hours (only the first 3 hours are captured for Google Meet)
- Event title includes keywords: Break, Lunch, Out of Office, OOO
- Event is marked as Out of Office
- There are no other attendees on the event
- The event is not accepted by at least one other person
Chat
Chats received do not count toward the score — only chats sent are counted as outbound activity. Events that take place outside of configured work hours are also flagged.
Commonly Asked Questions (Google Workspace)
What data does the Chrome Extension track?
The extension only tracks business applications defined by your organization. The tracked sites are visible in Chrome's Transparency tab. Prodoscore does not track general web browsing.
What if we are out of the office or work unique hours?
Prodoscore integrates with your calendar to capture PTO days automatically. Managers can also assign OOO/PTO days manually. Employees can be assigned to a custom work shift to account for unique hours.
What score should we be getting?
Prodoscore generally considers a score between 40 and 75 to be average. The number itself is less important than the trend over time — dramatic drops or increases are the key signal.
How do we increase our score?
The end user dashboard highlights daily activity and can help identify weaker spots. The action cards at the bottom of the dashboard show what higher-scoring team members in the same role are doing.
