Prodoscore Chrome Connector

What Is the Chrome Connector?

The Prodoscore Chrome Connector is a feature of the Chrome Extension that enables deeper tracking of specific approved websites. When enabled, it measures mouse clicks, keyboard activity, and page scrolling on admin-selected websites — providing more granular productivity data than basic product integration alone.

Transparency Notice: If the Chrome Connector is enabled, end users will receive an email notification and can see which websites are monitored in the Transparency tab. Only enable this if your organization is committed to a transparent deployment.

What the Chrome Connector Tracks

  • Mouse clicks
  • Keyboard activity (activity occurred, not content typed)
  • Page scrolling
  • Website/application details (URL, favicon, page title)
  • Structural information (H1/H2/H3 headers, pop-up titles, main images)
  • Publicly visible text such as names, phone numbers, or addresses

What the Chrome Connector Does NOT Track

  • Sensitive input fields (passwords, credit card numbers, CVV codes)
  • Cookies outside of app.prodoscore.com
  • User location, browsing history, health, or financial information
  • Any websites not explicitly selected by the admin

Seamless Login

Google Workspace users are automatically logged in to the Chrome Extension when Gmail loads — no manual login required. The extension defaults to your registered Prodoscore account even if multiple Google accounts are active.

Security

The Chrome Connector only interacts with secure (HTTPS) websites. All data transfers are encrypted with SSL. Data is stored, processed, and transferred under the same security standards as all other Prodoscore components.
