Windows Installation Validation

After installing Desktop Connect on Windows, verify that the agent is running correctly and the version is up to date.

Verify Process Is Running

Standard Mode:

1 Open Task Manager. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc or right-click taskbar and select Task Manager

2 Click the "Processes" tab

3 In the search box, type "MyZenV2"

4 You should see "MyZenV2.exe" listed with Status "Running"

5 Click on the MyZenV2 process and look at the "User name" column. It should match the currently logged-in user.

Stealth Mode:

1 Open Task Manager

2 Search for "MyZenV2s" or "zsrvc"

3 Both processes should be listed and running

Check Installed Version

Standard Mode:

Option 1 — File Explorer:

1 Open File Explorer

2 Navigate to C:\\Program Files\\Prodoscore\\MyZenV2

3 Open the version.txt file. It shows the installed version.

Option 2 — Properties:

1 Right-click C:\\Program Files\\Prodoscore\\MyZenV2\\updater.exe

2 Select Properties > Details tab

3 Look at the File version or Product version field

Stealth Mode:

1 Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\\Program Files\\zs\\zs

2 Open version.txt to see the installed version

Compare with Latest Version

1 Log into your Prodoscore admin portal

2 Click your profile icon > Download Apps

3 The version shown there is the latest available. Compare to your installed version.

If installed version is older than latest, the agent will auto-update within 24 hours (no manual action needed).

Connectivity Test

To verify the agent can communicate with Prodoscore servers:

1 Check the MyZen window (standard mode). If it shows "Signed In" or "Punched In", connectivity is working.

2 In the Prodoscore portal, navigate to Settings > User Management > Users and find the user. Look at "Last Synced" timestamp. If recent (within last hour), connectivity is good.

3 If Last Synced is very old (> 24 hours), there may be a network issue. Check firewall rules and ensure *.ag.prodoscore.com is whitelisted.

Troubleshooting

Process not running: Restart the computer. The agent should auto-start on boot.
Installation failed: Ensure the installer filename was not modified. Check antivirus logs for blocks. Try disabling antivirus temporarily and reinstalling.
Very old version stuck: Force restart the computer. If still old after restart, check for failed auto-updates. Manually download and run the latest installer.
